ESG
Here at Cinnamon Dhonveli Maldives, we put our planet first. Our commitment shines through in every facet of our operation, from thriving coral propagation to community empowerment.
Biodiversity
Our efforts to preserve the ecosystem is reinforced through the detailed biodiversity assessment conducted by Cinnamon Nature Trails. Our ongoing coral propagation project continues to flourish, complemented by impactful conservation sessions. Further, we collaborate with the "Olive Ridley Project" to protect sea turtles.
Biodiversity
Waste reduction initiatives
We turn food waste into compost with our food digester and practice waste segregation for increased recycling. Daily tracking of food waste, refillable bathroom amenities, reusable glass bottles, and soft drink dispensers all contribute to our eco friendly efforts.
Biodiversity
Energy and water saving initiatives
Harnessing solar power and using energy efficient lights, we conserve energy with sensors and timers. Our wastewater treatment plant reuses 100% of treated water for toilet flushing and gardening, while flow restrictors help reduce water consumption.
Social impact
Community Projects
We offer substantial support to the Maldivian government's tree planting programme and run the Reef Awareness Programme. Contributions include maintaining Huraa Island Health Center, donating to schools, and supporting rehabilitation centers.
Social impact
Employee wellbeing
Our team partakes in eye camps, sports tournaments, special dinner dances, yoga programmes and enjoys the convenience of a fitness center for female employees. The EmpowerHer team benefits from grooming and wellbeing programmes that foster a supportive and healthy work environment.
