ESG
We are Natives, spiritually connected to our lands, waters, wildlife, and communities. Across our brand, we base over 35 humanitarian and conservation projects on the needs of the destinations we are present in.
Our ESG strategy is woven into our very purpose, operations, and communities. It shapes our corporate governance to set sustainable standards, focusing on humanitarian and conservation initiatives and advocacy, benefiting everyone.

Biodiversity
We are deeply committed to preserving urban biodiversity and protecting our beaches. Our Nuga Gama is home to a majestic 200-year-old banyan tree, surrounded by an array of native plants. We maintain pollinator-friendly gardens to support local ecosystems and enhance biodiversity. Our staff is actively involved in beach cleanups and tree planting efforts, contributing to the health of our environment.
Additionally, we take pride in educating our community on the importance of safeguarding our natural resources, fostering a collective responsibility for environmental stewardship.

Waste-reduction initiatives
Waste Tracking : At our hotel, we focus on waste reduction by measuring, tracking, and benchmarking waste. This approach helps us monitor recycling progress and set actionable annual goals.
Reduction of Single- Use Plastic : We are committed to reducing single-use plastic by replacing items such as plastic stirrers, straws, and sachets with eco-friendly alternatives. Additionally, we have introduced NORDAQ water bottles in our guest rooms, replacing PET bottles, which has significantly lowered our plastic waste.
Waste Diversion : Our waste is segregated by material type to maximize recycling efforts and divert waste from landfills. One of our key initiatives includes reusing kitchen waste oil as burner fuel for our boilers, reducing dependency on furnace oil and further lowering our carbon footprint. Additionally, we leverage technology to minimize paper usage, promoting digital solutions to further reduce environmental impact.

Energy saving initiatives
Our energy-saving initiatives include the use of LED bulbs, Building Management Systems for efficient energy control, Magnetic Bearing Chillers, sensor lights, energy-efficient equipment, and variable speed drives to optimize power consumption.
Additionally, we incorporate skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting.

Water saving initiatives
Our water-saving initiatives are designed to conserve resources and reduce environmental impact. We offer a linen reuse program, allowing guests to reuse towels and bed linens, which helps conserve water and reduce the need for chemicals.
Additionally, we have implemented sensor taps, low-flow shower heads and taps, dual flush systems, and rainwater harvesting to enhance water conservation throughout our operations.

Employee Wellbeing
Our hotel prioritizes employee well-being with initiatives that promote a healthy work environment. We provide nutritious meals, on-site dormitory facilities, a gym, a recreational room, and a medical room that is open 24 hours. Annual health check-ups are offered, along with regular engagement events such as sports activities, staff parties, and competitions.
Additionally, we conduct awareness sessions on topics like breast cancer awareness, substance abuse, and mental well-being to support our team in all aspects of their lives. We also educate and raise awareness about policies and new developments that help employees work more effectively and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Community Projects

Meals that Heal
Cinnamon Grand took the initiative to support neighboring communities, daily wage earners, and the less fortunate during COVID and the economic crisis, and continues this support to date.
By alleviating food insecurity and supporting livelihoods, we contribute to the well-being and resilience of the local population.

“Athwalak” Student Empowerment Project
Our initiative focuses on empowering students who face various challenges in their educational journey. Through coaching and motivational sessions, we help them develop a sense of purpose and enhance their skills, including language, professional presence, and creativity.
By providing ongoing support and interventions, we aim to increase their likelihood of thriving for a better future and assist them in navigating social risks for more positive outcomes.

Zero Waste School
We organize regular environmental awareness programs to promote responsible consumerism among students, parents, and teachers, utilizing the 10R concept of resource management.
Through these initiatives, we aim to foster a culture of sustainability and inspire the school community to adopt zero-waste practices.

Training and Development
Our hotel is committed to nurturing the next generation of hospitality professionals by providing training opportunities for youth from local hotel schools. We also welcome students from various schools and institutions to visit our property, where they can gain firsthand experience and insights into our operations.
Through these visits, students can explore career prospects in the hospitality industry and develop the skills necessary to succeed in their future endeavors.

Safeguarding Children
We are committed to protecting children. Our hotel has a strict policy of reporting any suspected cases of child exploitation or abuse to the authorities.
We regularly conduct training programs for our staff, raising awareness about identifying signs of abuse and understanding reporting protocols.
GOVERNANCE
We deeply believe in transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices. Our governance approach aims to ensure the responsible management of our hotels and resorts, fostering trust with stakeholders and nurturing a culture of integrity and compliance. We're dedicated to maintaining a robust governance structure that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
